Prawns with a Bloody Mary cocktail sauce


  • Combine the tomato sauce, Worcestershire, Tabasco, horseradish, chilli paste, vodka and celery with a good squeeze of lime juice. Taste for seasoning and transfer to a small bowl.
  • Serve the prawns with the sauce and lime wedges on the side.


  • 1 cup good quality tomato sauce
  • a splash of Worcestershire sauce
  • a few drops of Tabasco
  • 1 tbsp creamed horseradish
  • ½ tbsp chilli paste
  • 3-4 tbsp vodka
  • 1 celery stalk, very finely chopped
  • 2 limes
  • 20-24 prawns, in the shell, cooked
