A simple chocolate & orange tart
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C fan forced (200°C normal).
- Gently melt the chocolate, cream and butter with the orange zest and juice over a double boiler.
- Prick the pastry sheet all over using a fork. Then place it in a baking tray and cook in the oven for about 10 mins until golden brown.
- Spread the marmalade over the top of the pastry and coat well with the melted chocolate mixture. Then set aside for about 40 mins at room temperature.
- When ready, sprinkle with icing sugar, cut into quarters and serve with a good dollop of ice cream or whipped cream.
- nb. Individual tarts can be made.

- 140 gm dark cooking chocolate
- 150 ml thickened cream
- 50 gm unsalted butter
- grated rind & juice of 1 orange
- 1 shortcrust pastry sheet
- orange marmalade
- icing sugar
