Souffled cheese 'steaks' with ham


  • Preheat oven to 220°C fan forced (240°C normal). 
  • Place the ham in the base of a small-medium sized gratin (or any ovenproof dish) and top with the cheese. 
  • Whisk the eggs and cream with a little salt and plenty of ground pepper until light and fluffy using an electric hand beater. Then pour over the cheese and cook in the oven for about 10-12 mins until puffed and golden. 
  • Serve immediately with a simple salad on the side.

  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • sea salt & freshly ground pepper
