Sweet, savoury & spiced nuts


  • Preheat oven to 180°C fan forced (200°C normal). 
  • Mix together the sugar, ground cloves, paprika, cinnamon and cumin. 
  • In another bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy. Then add the nuts and toss well. 
  • Add the spice and sugar mixture and toss until well coated. 
  • Transfer the nuts in one layer to a large baking tray and cook in the oven for about 12-15 mins until dry and toasted. 
  • When ready, remove the nuts from the tray, set aside to cool and serve. 
  • nb.  Keep any leftovers in an airtight container.

  • 1 large egg white
  • 225 gm pecan halves
