Pizza scrolls


  • Preheat oven to 180°-200°C  fan forced (200°-220°C normal). 
  • Beat the egg with the milk. 
  • Then place 2 puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured workbench, slightly overlapping and seal the edge with egg wash. 
  • Spread the sauce over the top, leaving an edge, and top with pesto. Then lay the ham and prosciutto over and generously sprinkle with cheese. 
  • Tightly roll up the pastry and then cut into even slices crossways. 
  • Then place the scrolls on a lightly oiled baking dish, paint the tops with egg wash and cook in the oven for about 15-20 mins. 
  • nb.  Any choice of fillings can be used.

  • plain flour
  • Italian tomato cooking sauce (or home made tomato sauce)
  • pesto
  • finely sliced (or shaved) ham
  • slices of prosciutto
  • grated tasty cheese
  • olive oil spray
