Baked camembert in puff pastry
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C fan forced (200°C normal).
- Cut a round in each pastry sheet, slightly larger than the cheese.
- Then beat the egg with the milk.
- Place the cheese in the centre of a pastry round, spread a decent amount of the relish on top and paint the pastry edges with egg wash.
- Then place the other pastry sheet on top, press down and crimp the edges with your fingers.
- Place the ‘pie’ on a baking tray, brush all over with egg wash and cook in the oven for about 12 mins until the pastry is golden and risen.
- Serve with a green salad on the side for a light lunch, or with good crusty bread as a snack or starter.
