Mozzarella & prosciutto In Carozza


  • Cut the bread into round shapes and layer half with the mozzarella, prosciutto and basil. Then top with the remaining bread.
  • Put the flour in a bowl, and the eggs beaten with the milk in another.
  • Then lightly flour the sandwiches and dip in the egg wash.
  • Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan and panfry the Carozza until crisp and golden on both sides. Drain on kitchen paper towels.

  • finely sliced mozzarella
  • 4 slices prosciutto, sliced
  • 4 large basil leaves
  • plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • olive oil
