Two breads on the barbie

  • To make garlic and cheese bread, combine the butter, garlic and parsley until mixed well.
  • Then place a generous amount of the butter into each cavity of the baguette and stuff with some cheese. Tightly wrap in strong kitchen foil and cook on a preheated BBQ (or ridged grill), seam side up.
  • To make caramelised onion and blue cheese bread, heat a little oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and gently sauté the onion until tender and lightly caramelised. Remove from the heat.
  • Cook one side of the bread on the preheated BBQ (or ridged grill). Then turn over, spray with oil and mound with the onions. Top with dollops of the blue cheese, cover with a foil container and cook until the cheese has melted a little.
