Perfect porridge with banana, yoghurt & honey


  • Put the oats, milk and salt in a bowl and cook in the microwave on high for 5 mins, stirring halfway through. Then remove and let stand for a minute or two. 
  • To serve, arrange the banana on top of the porridge and sprinkle with sugar and honey. Then spoon a good dollop of yoghurt in the centre.
  • nb. If you like your porridge thicker, use a few more oats.


  • 50 gm porridge oats
  • 350 ml milk
  • a good pinch of salt
  • sliced fresh banana (or fresh berries)
  • brown sugar (optional)
  • honey
  • plain yoghurt
