Barbecued pork & pineapple skewers

Method

  • Whisk the soy, honey and Hoisin to taste in a large bowl with the garlic, ginger and orange juice. Taste for seasoning. 
  • Add pork to the marinade, toss well and set aside for up to 30 mins.
  • When ready, tightly thread the pork and pineapple alternately onto skewers and cook on a lightly oiled, preheated BBQ (or ridged grill) to the desired degree, turning and brushing with the marinade as you do so.
  • Serve with a simple green salad and/or vegie dish on the side.

  • soy sauce
  • honey
  • Hoisin sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tspn grated fresh ginger
  • juice of 1 orange
  • 2-3 large pork fillets, trimmed of all fat & sinew, & cut into even-sized cubes
  • ½ pineapple, cut into chunks
  • olive oil spray
