Naan

Method

  • Using your hands, combine the flour, salt and baking powder with enough water to form a soft dough. Then add the oil and continue kneading with your hands. Set aside for about 20 mins to rise.
  • When ready, form the dough into small balls, roll in a little extra flour and set aside for about another 5-10 mins.
  • Preheat a tandoor oven (or normal oven to the highest degree). 
  • Flatten out the dough balls with a little extra flour, using your hands, and cook the naan for about 30 secs in the tandoor (or 3 mins in the oven).

  • ¼ tspn sea salt
  • ½ tspn baking powder
  • 200 ml lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
