Garlic & lemon wings 'Kiev'


  • Preheat oven to 220°C fan forced (240°C normal).
  • Mix together the butter, garlic, juice of 1 lemon and the parsley. Set aside.
  • Place the wings in a heavy-bottomed baking tray and toss with a squeeze of lemon juice, a good sprinkling of oil and seasonings until well coated. Then cook in the oven for about 20 mins until tender.
  • Make a dipping sauce by combining the sour cream, sweet chilli sauce and chilli paste to taste.
  • When the chicken is ready, pour off most of the oil and toss the wings with knobs of the butter. Then cook in the oven for about another 5 mins.
  • Serve the chicken wings with the sauce on the side.

  • 5 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 12-16 chicken wings, prepared
  • olive oil
  • sea salt & freshly ground pepper
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • a splash of sweet chilli sauce
  • chilli paste
