Toscana T-bone


  • Preheat oven to 220-230°C fan forced (240°-250°C).
  • Rub the steaks with oil and season generously.
  • Heat a little oil in a large heavy-bottomed pan (that can go into the oven) until smoking and seal the steaks for a few minutes on each side. Then cook in the oven for about 5 mins or so (for rare). Remove and allow to rest.
  • Add the butter, lemon juice and parsley to the pan. Swirl around until the butter has melted.
  • Then pour the butter over the steaks and serve with your favourite vegie side dish.


  • 2 very thick T-Bone steaks, at room temperature
  • olive oil
  • sea salt & freshly ground pepper
  • 2 dollops soft butter
  • juice of ½-1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
