Jaffa tea loaf


  • Preheat oven to 160°C.
  • Brush a loaf tin with the melted butter and line with baking paper.
  • Beat the butter, flour, 200 gm caster sugar, baking powder, milk, eggs and orange zest with a hand mixer.
  • Then spoon the mixture into the loaf tin, level the top and cook in the oven for 40-45 mins until risen, slightly firm to the touch and golden brown.
  • When the cake is ready, gently heat the orange juice with the remaining caster sugar until melted. Spoon over the cake and allow to cool in the tin.
  • Then remove the cake from the tin and allow it to cool completely on a rack.
  • Melt the chocolate, drizzle over the top and leave to set.
