Scottish cheese & onion pancakes


  • Whisk the flour, mustard powder, salt, eggs and milk in a large bowl to form a smooth batter. (Adding a little more milk or flour if needed.) Then mix in the cheese, ground pepper and onion until well combined.
  • Heat a thin layer of oil in a large pan and cook tablespoons of the mixture until golden brown on both sides, being careful not to burn the oil. Drain well on kitchen paper towels.

  • ½ tspn mustard powder
  • ½ tspn sea salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 150 ml milk
  • 50 gm grated tasty cheese
  • ground pepper
  • 1 large onion, grated
  • olive oil
