No bake slice


  • Place the condensed milk and 100 gm butter in a heavy-bottomed pot and gently simmer until the butter melts. (DO NOT BOIL.) Remove.
  • Then combine the melted butter with the crushed biscuits, 1 cup icing sugar, the ground almonds, walnuts and almond essence until well incorporated.
  • Spray a baking tin with oil and spoon in the mixture, pressing into the corners. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
  • To make the icing, combine the remaining icing sugar and butter with the cocoa and enough hot water to reach a smooth consistency.
  • Then spread the icing on top of the slice and refrigerate for at least another 30 mins. Cut into squares before serving.
