Roast spiced chicken bits


  • Preheat oven to 210°-220°C fan forced (230°-250°C normal).
  • Place the chicken pieces in a large oven tray, skin side up, and sprinkle with lemon juice, oil, seasonings and the spice mix to taste.
  • Then add the potatoes to the tray, season and sprinkle with a little oil. Cook in the oven for about 30-40 mins, until crispy, turning the chicken and the potatoes once or twice.
  • Combine the yoghurt, cucumber and lemon juice to taste.
  • Serve the chicken with the watercress, dressed with a little fresh oil alongside, and the yoghurt in a small bowl on the side.

  • 12 chats (baby potatoes), scrubbed & halved
  • ¼ cup plain yoghurt
  • ½ continental (telegraph) cucumber, finely diced
  • 2 good handfuls watercress
