Seared tuna salad with feta


  • Sprinkle the tuna quite generously with Tograshi powder and quickly sear all over on an oiled hot grill. Set aside for a few minutes, before cutting into cubes (or flake).
  • To make the dressing, whisk the oil, soy and mirin with the ginger, ground pepper, garlic and anchovies. Taste for seasoning. 
  • Then toss the tomatoes, chives, feta and tuna with the dressing to taste.
  • To serve, mound the salad on individual plates and garnish with chives.


  • 250 gm tuna steak
  • Tograshi powder
  • olive oil spray
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp mirin
  • 1 tspn freshly grated ginger
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 small garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 anchovies, chopped
  • 6 cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 heaped tbsp snipped chives
  • 50 gm feta, crumbled
