East-West chicken wings


  • Whisk the garlic, ginger and onion with the soy, black vinegar, rice wine, water, Italian cooking sauce, honey and seasonings. 
  • Then toss the chicken with the marinade in a large heavy-bottomed roasting tray and refrigerate for 1-2 hours, if you like. 
  • When ready, preheat oven to 200°C  fan forced (220°C normal).
  • Then cook the chicken in the oven for 25-30 mins until tender and glazed, turning every now and again.
  • Serve garnished with spring onions on a bed of steamed rice on individual plates .

  • 4 tbsp honey
  • sea salt & freshly ground pepper
  • 1¼ kg chicken wings, prepared
  • 2 spring (green) onions, sliced
