White chocolate cookies

Method

  • Preheat oven to 190°C.
  • Cream the butter and sugars with a mixer.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg and vanilla. Then add to the butter mixture, little by little, mixing well. Add the flour, baking powder and salt, and mix well with a wooden spoon, before adding the chocolate and mix well.
  • Line baking sheets with baking paper.
  • Then roll the dough into walnut-sized balls and place on the sheets well apart. Cook in the oven on a high shelf for about 12 mins.
  • Carefully remove the cookies from the baking paper and allow to cool before serving.

  • 100 gm unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 gm caster sugar
  • 100 gm brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tspn vanilla essence
  • 175 gm plain flour
  • ½ tspn baking powder
  • ¼ tspn salt
  • 175 gm white chocolate buttons, roughly processed or chopped
