Baked spuds in newspaper

Method

  • Preheat oven to  180°C fan forced (200°C normal).
  • Place the potatoes on greaseproof paper, spray with a little oil and then sprinkle with a little salt and rosemary. Wrap up and then place on wet newspaper sheets. Fold up tightly, place on a baking sheet and cook in the oven for about 40 mins until tender. (To check, pierce with a small sharp knife.)
  • Serve as an accompaniment with the cooking juices poured over the top.

  • 16 large baby potatoes (chats), scrubbed
  • olive oil spray
  • sea salt flakes
  • fresh rosemary sprigs
