Stir-fried asparagus with oyster sauce


  • Remove and discard woody stems of the asparagus and peel part way up, if needed. Then slice on the diagonal.
  • Heat the oil in a wok (or large non-stick pan) and briefly toss the asparagus over a high heat until bright green. Add the stock and oyster sauce. Mix well, cover and cook for about 3 mins until crisp-tender.


  • 2-3 bundles asparagus
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • ¼ cup vegetable stock
  • 1 heaped tbsp oyster sauce
