Bread & cheese gratin


  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Place the eggs, cream and milk in a large bowl and whisk well. Then toss the bread in the mixture and put in a lightly buttered gratin dish (or casserole).
  • Sprinkle parsley, wine and seasonings over the top with any remaining egg mixture and top with grated cheese. Then cook in the oven for about 15 mins until golden brown.
  • Serve with a simple green salad on the side.

  • ½ cup milk
  • ½-1 French stick, sliced
  • melted butter
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • freshly ground salt & pepper
  • 1 cup grated tasty cheese
