  • Preheat oven to 210°C.
  • Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl. Then lightly rub in the butter until well combined. Pour in most of the milk and mix well using a wooden spoon until a soft dough is formed.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured bench and lightly knead. Then roll out to about 2 cm thickness.
  • Lightly spray a baking tray and cut the dough into 4.5 cm rounds. Then lightly brush the tops with milk and cook in the oven for about 8-10 mins.
  • When ready, allow the scones to cool on a cake rack, before serving with jam and cream.
